Konexus is a payments company in Bangkok. We connect merchants to the providers who process their cards, and we build the software that keeps that connection running after the install is finished.
A shop needs to take cards. An EDC provider needs merchants. Putting the two together is the easy half — getting the setup live, and keeping it live, is the work.
We've run the acquiring side before. Our managing director was CEO of a payment gateway, so we know what supporting installed terminals costs. Where the same problem keeps appearing at the counter, we build for it.
We match businesses to payment providers and carry the setup through to a live merchant. Shops that want to take cards, hotels with an OTA payment problem, POS vendors whose merchants keep asking them for one.
Running todayWhen a card payment fails at the counter, nobody can tell whether the cashier system, the connection or the terminal is at fault. Axon makes that answerable, so a support call ends with a cause rather than a guess. Merchants connect themselves, which takes the engineer out of every new install.
Proof of concept completedHotels take bookings that an OTA pays by virtual card, and collecting that card is the slowest part of check-out. Our app moves the job onto the terminal. The charge lands on the right card without anyone copying a number, and every transaction traces back to the staff member who took it.
In developmentBoth products run on terminals somebody else owns, so a provider is the only route either one has to a merchant. The provider certifies the software and pushes it to their fleet, which reaches merchants without a site visit.
The merchant relationship stays with the provider. We don't bill merchants, we don't sell to them, and we don't sell terminals or POS software ourselves. We're not competing with the people we integrate with.
